My baby is almost 9 weeks old, and it's winter. That means I was 2 months post partum with no good way of getting out of the house in a pandemic. Until now.I bought a sling to hold my baby before she was even born. Someone told me to get one, because it helps being able to "wear your baby" so you can get chores done, etc. Well, this jacket fits over the sling, and there's this piece built in that fits over the baby's head to protect baby from the elements. There's an adjustable hood that comes up over the baby's head.When I first picked up this package, I was surprised how heavy it was. Then again, most vacuum sealed bags are. I opened it, and nope. It wasn't just the vacuum seal. The jacket is heavy.It's also incredibly warm. I was wearing it without the baby section, while I was in the car, and it was a bit hot actually. That means it's pretty good for winter. I did take the baby for a short walk yesterday, and she didn't even wake up.Overall, I love this jacket. It gives me some freedom back.Super comfy and soft on the inside and outside, love the color, it fit over my preggo belly even!. My only complaint is that it started to pill along the arms and sides after just the first day of wearing.Update: I used this all winter with the baby and ot was great it doesn't seem like it would be thick/warm enough but it was plenty warm for me and baby. I plan to use it again for the next baby this winter. I did lose the baby insert but this is so stretchy and big it fits around baby and me just fine without it.So I love the sweater itself. It is so comfortable and warm. I have been wearing this for Michigan winter so far. My issue is with the baby pouch I wish it zipped up further or had snaps to pull the hood closed a little more. I could git into a size smaller sweater. This material is stretchy. Another thing I love is it is long on me. Being 6' it is a hard thing to find anything that is long.You wear your baby carrier and wear this giant soft jacket over the top. It won't be a thick enough layer to wear in the Midwest winter, but it would suffice on a 50 degree day, or even 40 if you and baby wear enough warm clothes underneath. The fabric is super soft!This jacket really impressed me for the price. The fabric is so soft and it looks cute even without the insert. The panel works well over my Ergo 360 carrier. At two months old, the baby hoodie is too big, but I think will work well as she gets bigger and the strings work well to tighten it around her.I love this coat. It is so soft and comfortable. My 10 month old wears 24 months/2T clothes and he fits facing front or back without any issue. If child faces front, the hood does not come off so the child could fiddle with it, but I don't see that as a problem. I have been pleased with all my Bearsland purchases.I love this!! We live in the northeast and had been shopping for something to wear over the baby carrier to keep the both of us warm. This did the job nicely and extended the use of my carrier through the fall! I am 5’3 and 130 lbs and baby is 9 months old and the medium fit over us both nicely. There is plenty of room to grow (I probably could have gotten a small) but I like that we can wear layers under this as well! I can even wear it without the baby insert which is nice. Perfect!We love this baby wearing jacket!It fits great! The insert is perfectly sized. It is great for fall and warm winter days, looking forward to using it for spring.
